Now I got more informations about the Feria de Nerja on October 8th – 13th and I can tell you when the concerts on the Nerja fair are. The town spends 403,000 euros for six days of party and they think of an income of about 182,000 euros.

The Nerja Fair (Feria de Nerja) has been running since the late 1980s to the familiar formula of decorated tents called “casetas” set up by some people to entertain and to party. The fair is every year between October 8th – 13th, because October 12th is National Holiday of Spain or Hispanic Day (Fiesta Nacional de España or Día de la Hispanidad). If you want to see the fastest and sexiest speed boats, then you have to go to Puerto Banus on monday morning the 24th of september. The BladeRun Rally is a famous Rally between London and Amsterdam, which takes place every year. But this time they want to go from Marbella to Ibiza. The party is starting on sunday the 23rd in Marbella and ends on the 26th in Ibiza with stops in Almeria and Cartagena. On monday morning the boats will start at the Ocean Club in Puerto Banus. The Feria del Santo Cristo in Casares is celebrated in the middle of September from Friday to Sunday. This years feria is on 14, 15 & 16 of September. This fair finds its origins in the old harvest celebrations. Nowadays it looks more like an end of the summer celebration. School starts again after this Feria so it’s the last summer feria a family can enjoy. Casares celebrates its Santo Cristo fair with music, dancing and processions in Casares town. The weekend finishes with a fireworks display at the Castle which looks very nice above the town. If you have some time have a look around the town and enjoy the last summer fair in Casares.

So that I am writing in English I am not sure if there is anybody out there who is reading my blog and who is interested in Spanish music. But I think, talking about Spain, you have to be interested in the Spanish music as well. So here are some interesting concerts which are in my hometown Sabinillas or let’s say Manilva in august, quite big concerts. The first two concerts from Antonio Orozco and from Soraya Arnelas from the 4th Operación Triunfo are in the “feria de Manilva”, so I think they are for free. The other two concerts are just big concerts in the football ground in Manilva. So august is getting hot in concerts.
