This weekend Marbella will see pure luxury with the Marbella Luxury Weekend, a project driven by the Department of Toursism of the Town Council of Marbella. The town is completing its preparations to become host to one of the most important social occasions of the summer. During four days, from the 2nd to 5th of June 2011, Puerto Banús will become an extraordinary showcase for the leaders of the world of fashion with catwalks and exclusive presentations from some of the biggest names in fashion.
It is the first time that a project combines the most representative segments of the tourist sector. Marbella Luxury Weekend has obtained the direct collaboration of the firms located in the port itself, of the catering sector and of the principal hotel chains in the town. The establishment of luxury firms per square metre within this perimeter bears no comparison or competition with any other port in the world, with more than fifty international brands residing here.
As well as fashion, the privileged guests who will have the opportunity of participating in this occasion will witness unique events which will be broadcast across the world. The British car-maker McLaren has chosen this platform, as this platform lifts the presentation of its new and most exclusive model McLaren MP4-12C from the hand of the luxury vehicle distributor, Grupo Guarnieri. As well, Marina Marbella, leading company in the nautical world, distributor and importer for some of the most prestigious shipyards in the world, will reveal within the settings of the Marbella Luxury Weekend, the lates series of boats to come on to the market.
