Are You Thinking Of Holidaying in Malaga?

Holiday and Flamenco in MalagaSpain, well-loved for its sunshine and laid-back pace of life, has been a favourite holiday destination since the 1970s. More and more people are now curious to explore the great cultural and historical diversity that makes this country so unique, with so much more to experience than great beaches and nightlife. Andalucia, widely considered the most Spanish region of Spain with its traditions of flamenco and bull-fighting, certainly merits more than just a whistle-stop tour. Its amazing array of attractions range from the wonder of the Moorish palaces of the Alhambra in Granada to the original cave-dwellings of Guadix, from the snow-capped mountains of the Sierra Nevada to the glitz and glamour of Marbella. Feria de NerjaThe Nerja Fair (Feria de Nerja) has been running since the late 1980s to the familiar formula of decorated tents called “casetas” set up by some people to entertain and to party. The fair is every year between October 8th - 13th, because October 12th is National Holiday of Spain or Hispanic Day (Fiesta Nacional de España or Día de la Hispanidad). San Juan in Sabinillas 2007

San Juan 2007 in SabinillasThat was this years San Juan. After I expected some groups for a concert like Danza Invisible and Ariel Rot, they didn’t appear. So the good concerts were cancelled and there was only an orchestra. This years theme was a Medieval Castle, very first line beach, 8 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, massive swimming pool to the rear, big garden (without flowers), stables, security guard on some towers around, underfloor heating. And this nice castle was burned down last saturday at 12 o’clock midnight. What a shame. But it was a nice, big and warm fire with a fantastic firework. And the nice thing was, you could see the next bonfire on the beach of Casares.
