Exhibition "young artists against Animal Abuse" in EsteponaThe “young artists against , which was first shown in in July this year, is now coming to Estepona.

The works exhibited where the result of a national comic contest, directed to young artists in art schools and universities where any artist living in Spain could participate. The great response has shown that more and more people are becoming aware of the animal abuse problem.

The opening will take place on the 3rd of November at 19:00 at the cultural centre of Estepona Padre Manuel. Planeta Animal and the Estepona townhall invites you to joins at the opening. The exhibition is open until the 20th of November.

Violent Crime down 17 per cent in Marbella

Violent Crime down 17 per cent in MarbellaCrime reports fell by a total of eight percent in during the first nine months of 2010, according to the municipality’s Chief of , Rafael Madrona.

Similarly, reports of violent crime, which include murder and assault have also dropped, by a surprising 17 per cent.

“This has been a difficult year due to the crisis but the results announced today were very good” Madrona was quoted as saying at a recent police ceremony. He laboured the point adding “These are the kinds of criminal offences that cause alarm for our residents and visitors”. During his speech he also added that the Police must maintain their position “on top of crime” which is becoming “more specialised and technologically advanced” as time goes on. The Mayor, also praised the “professionalism” of the National force and its diligent “collaboration with the town’s ” She was also quoted as saying “These two factors help to provide the level of security that we have at present”. Franz Ferdinand live in Spain.. Secretly!Indie-rock band will be setting the stage alight here in in November, with concerts in , San Sebastian and Málaga.

The Scottish foursome, best known on the current indie-rock scene, for songs like their classic “Take Me Out” will be playing to an audience of just 1,200 people in Barcelona on November 4th, before moving on to San Sebastian on November 6th and Málaga on November 8th for what is purported to be a top-secret gig. The exact venues for all three concerts have not yet been disclosed.

For each concert, which is part of the “San Miguel Unique Tour“, there are 600 pairs of that can be obtained via a lottery system sponsored by the famous beer company. New underground to improve access at Malaga AirportGreat news for frequent flyers coming to and from Airport. The new train stations that have been inaugurated are geared entirely toward the new 3 at Malaga airport – dubbed the “gateway to the Costa del Sol” – and aim to increase accessibility to the and comfort to the users of the airport.

Trains on the C-1 Malaga- Cercanías line now stop at the new underground just 30 metres from the new Terminal 3. Which saves a long walk with heavy suitcases! The plans for the second runway at the airport heralded the creation of two new underground stations, one at Terminal 3 and another in the Guadalhorce industrial estate. Read more »
