San Isidro LabradorOn the 15th of Nerja celebrates San Isidro Labrador´s Saint´s Day. San Isidro Labrador or Saint Isidore the Laborer in English is also known as Isidore the Farmer, (c1070 – May 15, 1130). He was a day laborer known for his goodness toward the poor and animals. He is the Catholic patron saint of farmers and farming. This is the biggest happening in during the year. The is officially just one day, the 15th of May, but the party starts the night before and stops on the morning of the 16th. La Duquesa Golf & Country ClubThe “Golf & Country Club La Duquesa” was built after a design from Robert Trent Jones in 1987, surrounded by a spectacular countryside. 18 holes with par 72 on 6062m of amusing courses pamper most of all the sunbathers and aficionados of light seabreezes. The course offers large, wide fairways and demands from the player concentration and high precision drives. The second 9 holes are slightly difficult, but offer fantastic views to the Mediteranean, Puerto de la Duquesa, and the mountains. From hole 15, par 4, you can even see . Hole 17, par 3, is especially mentionable because of its beauty and spectacular 30 meter altitude difference. This golf course is always worth a visit because of its nice and fantastic views. The Alhambra Palace in GranadaThe Alhambra is a palace of the Moorish monarchs of and is situated on a hilly terrace on the south-eastern border of the city of . From this plateau you have a wide of the city and plain of Granada and of the heights of the Sierra Nevada. The Alhambra comprises three separate parts: The , the palace and the gardens which all together cover an area of about 142,000 m². It is enclosed by a strongly fortified wall, which is flanked by thirteen towers. The palace was built between 1248 and 1354, started by Muhammed Ibn Al Ahma, an Arab prince.
