Tom Jones in Concert in Marbella Puente Romano in presents another great star, Sir Thomas John Woodward, better known by his stage name . Since the mid 1960s, Tom Jones has sung many styles of popular music – pop, rock, R&B, show tunes, country, dance, techno, soul and even gospel – and sold over 100 million records. His last album Praise & Blame which came out about a year ago has been a massive success for the welsh singer. Tom Jones has now embarked on a tour to present his 39th studio album. Praise & Blame was made up of largely little known devotional and gospel covers, marking a departure from the pop-orientated style that had dominated Jones’ recent recordings. The concert will take place on Thursday, August 18th 2011 at Marbellas Hotel Puente Romano Tennis Club and start at 10:00pm. Tickets are available through www.ticketmaster.es and start at 90 Euro.

Malaga province, synonymous with LuxuryAccording to data from June this year provided by the Junta de Andalucia Provincial Delegation, Malaga has 56,513 top category vacancies and more than 60% of beds in the province are situated in the four-star, five-star or Grand category.

The average occupancy levels in Malaga are also ahead of the rest of Andalucia, which are at 45 per cent. The sector is showing no signs of slowing down as there are many more plans in the works for the future. As it stands, there are currently four five-star hotels planned in Almogia, Velez-Malaga, Antequera and , as well as 11 four-star hotels, 7 three-star hotels, 1 two-star, 3 one-star, and some guest houses and hostels as well!

Despite its apparent success, Malaga is no stranger to “tourism crisis”. In fact, the sector suffered quite badly in 1993 but pushed through by learning to rejuvenate and improve their hotel facilities in order to keep the visitors flocking to the area.  Read more »

Apart from Malaga, other favourite Spanish tourist destinations are or Palma de Mallorca. Another favourite destination on the southern Iberian coast is Faro in Portugal. easyJet director Paul Simmons said that the sandy beaches, the blue sea and the promise of sun make British people return to year after year. And he is right.

Live in Concert - A tribute to Queen is still one of the greatest rock bands of our time. Who would have thought that Queen together with Freddy Mercury had their last-ever European concert in ? The concert was on the 5th August 1986 to 25,000 people in Marbella’s football stadium. That’s why Marbella will once again rock to the sound of Queen’s greatest hits, exactly 25 years later, on Friday 5th August 2011 with a Queen tribute concert. Responsible for this big show is Dream Ticket Promotions, the team that brought you the sell-out Björn again ABBA show last year, now in partnership with Marbella Hall and supported by Hard Rock Café. The show is called “One night of Queen” and is performed by Gary Mullen & The Works.

The concert will take place under the stars at the stunning new beachside Recinto de Conciertos arena at Playa del Pinillo in Marbella near the Marbella Arch, a fantastic space available for a select few concerts this summer. On the night there will be five bars, several food vendors including popcorn, ice cream, burgers & hot dogs and plenty of toilets. There is parking in the local streets around the venue.  Read more »
